New Pictures, New Tunes

Much to the chagrin of my best friends, I have been on an 80’s music kick lately. I bought a lot of the Bruce Springsteen Born in the USA album (also, young Springsteen is REAL cute), and Heartbreaker (Pat Benetar), Shock the Monkey (Peter Gabriel), Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears) and Bad Reputation (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts). I made Melissa play Tears for Fears on All In last Tuesday. She did not take kindly to it, but she’s made me listen to the Jonas Brothers *twitch*.

I also posted some older pictures over on Photography. Most of them are of the Monterey Bay Aquarium from January or February. My computer shut down before I could post them. I think I accidentally lost a group of pictures, so I’ll try and get them back up.

Hope everyone had a safe St. Patrick’s Day. I had a great one; I succeeded in my Irish Soda Bread baking, though unfortunately the first batch got made without sugar. I only realized after the dough was ready, so I just baked it along with the second round (I remembered the next time around). My mom has not stopped eating it since this morning, so I think it’s a hit even without the sugar.

I’m considering seeing if that whole interweb phenomenon of cats being afraid of cucumbers is true. My cat did the jump the other day, but there was no cucumber involved. I will try it and post the results. Perhaps I’ll get my boyfriend to write a lab report for me.

Good luck to all those who are taking midterms or finals right now. You can do it, with lots of coffee and chocolate. I believe!

UPDATE: Just went down my front stairs and saw a Black Widow on the bottom step. Looked nothing like ScarJo. 0/10 would not recommend. Never going outside again.
